Armstrong County’s Community Credit Union

Welcome to the unique world of a member-owned financial institution – Moonlight Credit Union.

Organized in 1947 by volunteers. Moonlight Credit Union today has over 3,600 members and over $45 million in assets. The credit union’s office is located at the intersection of Butler Road and Deer Park Road in Worthington. Seven full-time employees staff the office.

Moonlight Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. Savings of members provide funds to lend to other members. Because there are no stockholders to whom the credit union must pay dividends, the earnings are returned to all members in the form of higher interest on savings and lower rates on loans.

Membership also means that you have a voice in the operation of the credit union. Members are eligible to run for seats on the board of directors, serve on the supervisory committee, and vote at the annual meeting.

Membership Eligibility

Membership in Moonlight Credit Union, Armstrong County’s fastest-growing credit union, is available to individuals who qualify under any one or more of the following:

  • Persons who live in Armstrong County

  • Persons who regularly work in Armstrong County

  • Persons who worship in Armstrong County

  • Persons who attend school in Armstrong County

  • Businesses and other legal entities in Armstrong County

  • Persons who are members of the immediate family of a member of the credit union

How To Become A Member

  • Eligible members must provide a Current Pennsylvania Driver’s License or State Issued I.D. to open an account, as well as verification of their current address and social security number. 

  • There is a minimum deposit amount of $1.00 required at the time the account is opened. Once open, a multitude of free or low-cost services will be available to you.
